M.Sc in Sustainable Management of Aquatic Environment (SMAE)
SMAE was established at the academic year of 2004-05. It is a one year (2 semesters in 13 months) postgraduate degree by six (6) taught courses and a research thesis. The offered studies focus on the conservation and management of marine and inland aquatic ecosystems. The main objective of this degree is to enable graduates to carry out basic and applied research on issues related to aquatic ecosystems. SMAE is designed for those students wishing to obtain professional graduate training in applied science with a focus on management of aquatic resources. SMAE requires a research/bench fee of 3,000€, however, a limited number of fellowships/scholarships may be available.

Ph.D in Aquatic Living Resources
Minimum duration of research leading to a Ph.D. thesis is set at three years. The Ph.D. title is awarded upon successful completion of a novel research thesis through an open viva to the Examination Committee. Postgraduates are also required to attend a series of postgraduate courses depending on their academic background.
